Celebrate the Safety Leaders at the NSC Green Cross for Safety Awards

VelocityEHS Founder and Strategic Advisor Glenn Trout has supported the mission of the National Safety Council (NSC) for many years. In fact, this year he was elected to a seat on their board! During this video, he personally invites you to join their cause—to save lives and prevent injuries—at the Green Cross for Safety® Awards on October 1, 2020.
New this year, the virtual event will be held over a four-day period, which allows more people to attend and recognize the best and the brightest organizations in safety and help raise funds to support their research, education and advocacy. The pre-event will take place between September 28th and October 1st. Attendees will:
- meet the award finalists before being announced at the Green Cross for Safety Awards
- bid on items in the silent auction
- hear from awards sponsors about how they make this event possible
The awards ceremony is scheduled on October 1st from 4 to 5 p.m. Central. Attendees will:
- hear from a guest speaker
- hear an inspiring story from a survivor advocate
- meet the award winners in these three categories: Advocate, Excellence and Innovation.
