International Women’s Day is a great time to take a moment to recognize the accomplishments of women in the EHS space.
Just a few female EHS leaders include:
- Former U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis.
- Former OSHA head Eula Bingham.
- Current EPA head Gina McCarthy.
The EPA has also had four other female top administrators in its history.
To acknowledge the important role of women in EHS, we’d also like to give a “shout out” to VelocityEHS’s own Laura Murphy, vice president of customer experience, and link to her blog piece Five Valuable Reminders from the NAEM Women’s EHS & Sustainability Leadership Roundtable.
