The game is aimed at helping small businesses and their employees learn about identifying hazards in the manufacturing and construction industries, and how to control and abate such hazards. According to an OSHA news release on the interactive tool, “users can play from the perspective of either a business owner or an employee as they learn to identify realistic, common hazards and address them with practical and effective solutions.” Here’s a video trailer for the game, which was developed in conjunction with the OSHA Training Institute.

Okay the headline may seem like a joke, but in this case it happens to literally be true. This month OSHA launched its Hazard Identification Training Tool, which it describes as “an interactive, online game-based training tool for small business owners, workers and others interested in learning the core concepts of hazard identification.”
