NAEM Report: Planning for a Sustainable Future

The National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM), with support from VelocityEHS, and with contributions from over 20 corporate leaders and experts from the environmental business movement, published a report analyzing trends in concepts of sustainability and strategies for risk-based business management.
With critical consideration of current and evolving environmental, political and economic situations, "Planning for a Sustainable Future," highlights the following ideas for improving longer-term operational sustainability:
• Managing risk through enhanced supply chain transparency
• Increasing employee engagement to achieve corporate sustainability goals
• Planning for climate change adaptation
• Developing business resiliency
• Collaborating for innovative and systemic change
This report, a product of the largest professional community of EHS and Sustainability professionals, exemplifies the importance of collaboration to drive decision making. NAEM provides a platform for corporate leaders to act as stewards, influencing the shift from responsive EHS programming, to strategic risk-based management.
In it's twelfth year of membership with NAEM, VelocityEHS contributes to a growing body of knowledge and engages in collaborative actions within the NAEM community.
