MSDSonline Addresses SDS GHS Classification Shock in October Edition of OH&S Magazine

This month, OH&S Magazine features an article by MSDSonline President and CEO Glenn Trout about "Classification Shock."

It's a term the safety data sheet (MSDS / SDS) authors at MSDSonline have coined to describe the experience many chemical manufacturers and distributors have when they learn their chemicals are more hazardous than originally thought. As the article points out, the reclassifying of chemicals and updating of safety data sheets and labels, as required by OSHA's adoption of GHS, is having repercussions that extend beyond the supplier of the chemical and reach into the work places of the end users of those chemicals.
